Steel toe boots for 10 hour concrete shifts. What actually lasts?
Overnight dock, standing and walking on concrete 10 hours a night. I've gone through three pairs of 'comfortable' boots in a year. Currently rotating two pairs so each dries out fully between shifts and that alone doubled how long they last. Also: real insoles, not the cardboard they ship with. What are you all wearing that survives? Composite vs steel toe opinions welcome.
Composite toe for me — lighter over a full shift and doesn't conduct cold on the freezer line. Rotating two pairs is the real hack though, spot on.
Aftermarket insoles changed my knees and lower back completely. Do not sleep on this.
